PRIVACY POLICY
Nina McCracken ("we," "us," "our") keeps this simple on purpose — we're a small, independent art studio, not a data company, and we'd rather you spend your time looking at the work than parsing fine print. This policy explains what information we collect through ninamccracken.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and what choices you have. Last updated July 2026.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
Contact/commission inquiries: name, email, and any details you share when reaching out via our Inquire or Contact page.
Order information: name, shipping address, billing address, email, and phone number when you place an order.
Information collected automatically:
Our Site is built on Squarespace, which automatically collects certain technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and general usage/analytics data) and uses basic cookies necessary for the Site to function — for example, to keep items in your cart. We do not currently layer additional marketing trackers, advertising pixels, or email marketing tools on top of this.
Payment information:
Payments are processed securely through Squarespace's built-in payment processing (which may include Stripe, PayPal, or similar providers). We do not directly collect or store your full credit card details — that information is handled by our payment processor in accordance with their own privacy and security standards.
2. How We Use Your Information
Nothing fancy — we use what you share to:
Process and fulfill orders, including shipping and customer service
Respond to inquiries and coordinate custom commissions
Maintain and improve the functioning of the Site
Comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax and accounting records)
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not currently use your information for email marketing or targeted advertising.
3. Sharing of Information
We share information only as needed to run the business:
With Squarespace and its integrated payment processors, to operate the Site and process transactions
With shipping carriers, to deliver your order
If required by law, or to protect our legal rights
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
4. Cookies
Squarespace uses cookies necessary for core Site functionality, such as remembering items in your shopping cart. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect Site functionality (e.g., checkout).
5. Data Retention
We retain order and inquiry information for as long as necessary to fulfill orders, comply with legal/tax obligations, and maintain business records.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make a request, contact us via our Inquire page.
7. Children's Privacy
This Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
